e5 Competency Matrix
The business rules embedded within this matrix determine the order used by the e5 Priority Processing logic, the processing rights within e5 Case Manager as well as the security rights to the work and related documents. The Competency Matrix represents how your business best utilises your valuable human resources.

e5 Priority Processing
The logic within this module ensures that human interaction with the business processes is performed in the appropriate sequence to satisfy your Service Levels and Priorities. Service Levels may be expanded to include seasonal variations or any other factor specific to your business. Priorities may be determined by special processing requirements, VIP customer status or any other factor specific to your business.

e5 Workflow
The tight integration of e5 to Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation provides a highly functional, yet easy to administer, workflow engine. The graphical process mapping allows all e5 functionality to be leveraged as part of your straight through processing or through human interactions. Microsoft’s SharePoint and SharePoint Portal Server are the cornerstone of the e5 BPMS. The rich Document Management and Search functionality of SharePoint is complimented by the highly functional e5 modules incorporating: e5 Image Management for high volume, remote capture and outsourced capture; e5 Fax Management for both inbound and outbound fax, SMS and MMS; the tight integration to Microsoft Exchange Server for e5 Email Management & Archiving ensuring all relevant inbound and outbound emails are automatically captured and stored; and the e5 Document Generation module which automates the generation of outbound correspondence of any nature.

SharePoint Portal search capabilities provides a sophisticated search environment covering your intranet information, e5 process information and all related documents. Search on metadata or the contents to ensure that all relevant information is instantly available to your users.

e5 Archive & Records Management
e5 has been designed to be document repository agnostic and can support multiple document repositories within a single processing structure. SharePoint for in-production work provides a highly scalable document repository with rich integration to Microsoft Office and various search technologies. EMC Centera and HP RISS offer “black box” high volume archiving. e5 leverages the records management functionality of these platforms and provides the all important processing triggers which move documents from in-production to online archive.
